The track day gift
Want to give someone a day at the circuit but are not really into cars yourself and are not sure what fits? Here are the three honest options, sorted by what the person you are gifting to actually brings along, not by what costs the most. Written by the people who run the events themselves.
The short answer
We have two options: a voucher if you are not sure of the date yet, and direct booking for a fixed date if you already know when. For the voucher you pick a ready-made experience (race taxi, passenger day or driver ticket) or a value voucher of EUR 100, 250 or 500; both are valid for three years and redeemable on any ticket. Direct booking is more personal and works like this: you book a ticket for a fixed date directly in the name of the person you are gifting to. After booking you get a cockpit link, where you either enter their name yourself, or invite them by email to enter their own details.
Race taxi rideneeds nothing: no car, no helmet, no experience.
Passenger and spectator ticketexperience the day without driving themselves.
Driver ticketfor anyone with their own suitable car.
The three honest options
1. Race taxi ride, the classic. The person you are gifting to needs nothing: no car, no helmet, no experience. They sit in the passenger seat of a Porsche, an experienced driver takes the wheel, and they get the video of the ride on their phone afterwards at no extra cost. From 149 € in the 718 GT4 MR, from 249 € in the sharper 992 GT3 RS. More on how it works is in the guide The race taxi ride.
2. Passenger and spectator ticket. If they want to be there without driving themselves, at 49 € this is the cheapest way in of all three options. They are in the paddock all day, ride along with other participants and experience the atmosphere up close, with no car of their own needed.
3. Driver ticket, the big gift. For anyone with their own mechanically sound car, the driver ticket from 749 € is the big gift: a whole day in their own car on the circuit, instructors included, with one passenger seat already part of it. To be honest about it: the car and the date both need to fit, and running costs like fuel or tyres come on top, see the guide What does a track day cost, and a bit of preparation does not hurt, see the guide Track day preparation.
What suits whom?
A small decision guide if you are unsure:
Do they enjoy driving and have a suitable car? Then the driver ticket is the bigger gift.
Do they want to be there without driving themselves? Then the passenger and spectator ticket fits.
Should it just be the thrill, with nothing required of them? Then the race taxi is the safe choice.
Do we offer gift vouchers?
Yes, we have two options. First: vouchers to buy online. Either a ready-made experience (race taxi in the GT3 RS or GT4 MR, passenger day, full driver ticket) or a value voucher of EUR 100, 250 or 500. Valid for three years, redeemable on all tickets. You buy on our gift voucher page, the code comes to your email immediately. Second option is direct booking: you book the ticket as normal for a fixed date. After booking you get a cockpit link for that booking, where you either enter the name of the person you are gifting to yourself, or invite them directly by email to enter their own details.
The honest part about direct booking: If the booked date does not work out after all, a change to another date within the same series is possible as a goodwill gesture, subject to availability, not a legal entitlement. Just get in touch.
Plan ahead
Our dates are fixed days with a limited number of places: we sell 50 starting places per date, and race taxi seats are limited per event on top of that. We do not need artificial pressure for that, just the honest point: if you want to be sure the date you want is still open, book ahead rather than waiting until the last minute.
The next date is Sat 12 Sep 2026 at the Bilster Berg.
Frequently asked questions
Can I give a track day as a gift?
Yes. You book a ticket for a fixed date directly in the name of the person you are gifting to, whether that is a race taxi ride, a passenger and spectator ticket or a driver ticket. How you hand it over, for example as a printed-out date or with a card you make yourself, is up to you.
Do you offer gift vouchers?
Yes, since August 2026 we offer two kinds of vouchers: ready-made experience vouchers (race taxi in the GT3 RS or GT4 MR, passenger day, full driver ticket) and flexible value vouchers of EUR 100, 250 or 500. Both are valid for three years, partial redemption is possible. You buy the voucher on our <a href="/gutschein" style="">gift voucher page</a>, the code comes by email.
What do I give someone with no car of their own?
Then a race taxi ride or a passenger and spectator ticket is the right choice, neither needs a car of their own. In the race taxi they sit in the passenger seat of a Porsche, with a passenger and spectator ticket they are in the paddock all day and ride along with other participants.
What does it cost?
Depends on the option. A race taxi ride starts at 149 € in the 718 GT4 MR or from 249 € in the 992 GT3 RS. A passenger and spectator ticket starts at 49 €. A driver ticket starts at 749 €, with one passenger already included. Exact prices per date are on the booking page.
Does the person need any experience?
No experience is needed for the race taxi or the passenger and spectator ticket, neither requires anything beforehand. The driver ticket needs no racing experience either, a track day is not a race. They just need a mechanically sound car and take part in the drivers' briefing, which is mandatory for every driver before the driving starts.
Can I be there for the gift?
Yes. You can add a passenger and spectator ticket for yourself from 49 € and experience the day, or ride along yourself as an additional driver from 99 €. Either way, you book it for the same date.
What if the date does not work out?
A change to another date within the same series is possible as a goodwill gesture, subject to availability, that is set out in our terms and is not a legal entitlement. Just get in touch and we will find a date that works.
Race taxi or driver ticket, which is the better gift?
Honestly, it depends on the person. If they enjoy driving and have a suitable car, the driver ticket is the bigger gift, a whole day in their own car on the circuit. If they are not into cars, do not have a suitable car, or just want the thrill without doing anything themselves, the race taxi is the safer bet. It requires nothing from them.
Ready to book the day?
